3d Photo Rendered Interior
The brief for this swatch book cover was to showcase the applications for the products included in the book. The majority of the surfaces in this book of printed samples are highly reflective and are intended for high end interior decoration and advertising displays. As there were not any photographs available showing the products in a live environment, the decision was made to create a photo rendered interior using 3d software.
The process began with collating a mood board to establish the feel for the final image. This was then developed into a pencil sketch to establish the layout of the elements. The sketch was then edited digitally to add colour and additional elements as well as to adjust the layout of the room.
After approval of the digital sketch, the process of building the digital render was started. This included building the room, sourcing textures and furniture, creating camera output settings and making geometry adjustments to emphasise certain textures within the final render.
For the final design of the swatch book cover, the decision was made to crop the image to fit within a portrait format. A title and the product line logo were then added over the top to be used as part of the promotional materials for this product line.
